Broadband Speeds Explained
ADSL2+ is the new standard of telephone based broadband using new technology to deliver theoretical maximum download speeds of up to 24Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1Mbps. A majority of ADSL2+ customers will connect at between 6Mbps and 15Mbps. The actual speed that you experience will be based on several factors, including how far you are from the exchange, the quality of your phone line, the broadband hardware you use and the speed of the website you connect to. All ADSL2+ plans have similar speeds; the variable is the data quota you need.
Peak and Off Peak Times
Home plans have and Peak and Off Peak quota and free uploads.
- Peak: 0600hrs to 1800hrs
- Off Peak: 1800hrs to 0600hrs and all weekend.
Business plans have a flat Anytime quota with no on-peak or off-peak times. Uploads are free.
Shaping
We do not charge excess on our Broadband plans. To ensure everyone gets fair use of the network we will slow your service once you have reached your download quota. To remove your shaping all you need to do is call our service desk and upgrade your plan or alternatively wait until your monthly anniversary date.

24 Month Contract – $0 Setup*
12 Month Contract – $120 Setup*
1 Month Contract – $220 Setup*
*This pricing assumes installation on an active telephone line and exclude any costs for telephone line activation or new line installation.
Important Contract Information
All of the services we deliver to you are covered in our Standard Form of Agreement (SFOA). This agreement details important information including service descriptions, payment, billing and much more. All broadband services that we provide to you have a minimum contracted 12 months otherwise specified. The value of your contract is the monthly cost of your service, multiplied by the contract term. Cancellation of your service prior to the end of the contract term will result in a cancellation fee payable by you for the value of the remaining months of the contracted term.
